RESONANCE PREVIEW
Resonance, the relentless musical machine, is back like clockwork: Wednesday evenings at Bar Matchless. And with it come four proven-to-please performers: James Cutrera, Jeff Malinowski, Matthew Dorrien (pictured) and Bogs Visionary Orchestra.
If you’ve heard the name Matthew Dorrien before, it’s probably because Mr. Dorrien took the grand prize at the 5th Annual Williamsburg Live Songwriter Competition. Particularly considering the dense and intense talent involved in the song festival, this feat is by no means a small endeavor. Although only one of his songs (“You Can Kiss Me”) won the WLSC2008, Matthew Dorrien is most certainly not a one trick pony. Each of this songwriter’s compositions is lovingly crafted, adorned with a soft voice, touching lyrics and tender, fingerpicked guitar. You don’t want to miss it!
