Arcade Fire: Bigger Than Livejournal

TOP DOG
You are 17 and it is Sunday night. You go to a medium-sized high school in the Northeastern United States and you are homosexual. It is totally lame that you have to go to school the next day. You put on “Funeral” by The Arcade Fire and you update your Livejournal. You post a brief synopsis of the weekend’s events.

in a nutshell
my mom threw a fit
ethan drove us to the park afterward; he’s a charmer
im going to stay with ethan in providence for a week
im going to apply for risd this week
ill dig a tunnel from my window to yours

Mood: blegh
Music: neighborhood #1 arcade fire

Your LJ post is complete with a picture of blurry trees shot out a car window. You were listening to Arcade Fire when you took the picture feeling immured by the rules of heteronormative society. You’re going to study graphic design in a couple months in a city. You’ll be free soon.
