In 2006, around 500 musicians submitted a recorded song to the 3rd Annual Williamsburg Live Songwriter Competition (WLSC2006). One hundred and fifty people were chosen to play in the "Live competition, which took place over 8 days, from September 15-22, 2006. This film is a documentary about the WLSC2006, its finalists, being an independent musician, and the NYC music scene.

In 2006, around 500 musicians submitted a recorded song to the 3rd Annual Williamsburg Live Songwriter Competition. 150 people made it into the "live" competition, which took place over 8 days. This CD is a compilation of the 9 finalists' live performances at the Finals at North Six in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with two bonus tracks (by Nick Ogawa, the WLSC 2006 Winner; and Cesar Alvarex from the Semifinals.)

In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, during a cold February 2005, 100
contestants played the 2nd Annual Williamsburg Live Songwriter
Competition. This gritty and original competition hosted some
of New York City's top emerging Indie Songwriters. This compilation
features the live performances from the top twelve finalists
such as Jaymay, Theo Eastwind, and Ian Thomas.
