Our goal is to find the best unsigned artists in New York City, book them at our events, and promote them through our website, newsletter, and street promotion. We listen to everything that is submitted to Jezebel Music.
You may submit your music by mail (see mailing address below) or electronically. We get a high volume of requests; if we believe we have a suitable show for you or your band, we will notify you.

Touring Acts:
We mostly book and promote bands and singer-songwriters based in New York City. However, we are starting to add touring acts to our New York bills so submissions from all locales are now accepted. Submitting your music to Jezebel Music is actually a great way to land a solid show in NYC with other musicians that you will like.
Bands:
If your band would be interested in playing an upcoming BANDS night, let us know you are there by sending us your music. These events are currently once a month and are in high demand. A priority of ours is booking bands in good company. Please note that if we don't book you right away, we do save your contact information for future notice, and do our best to respond to every email we receive.
Songwriter Showcase (for solo or mellow indie-acts):
Do not mistake this night for a folkfest. While there is some really good neo-folk music, all genres are welcome and respected. Great songs come in all forms.
You can submit your music but we tend to prefer to hear the artist in a live setting at the Live Audition/Open Mic every Wednesday at Laila Lounge from 7:30-9PM. Selected acts from the auditions will be contacted and placed on future Songwriter Showcases.
Monthly Feature:
We value all acts that we promote, but those chosen as Monthly Features receive exceptional exposure and promotion from Jezebel Music because we believe their music truly excels in several areas, including originality, musicianship, lyrics, vocals, and band cohesion. Mostly we ask the question: Does this band or songwriter have great songs? Features are promoted on our home page, headline our Feature Show, and receive a full length article, a videocast, a photo shoot, and significant street promotion.
Most Jezebel Music Monthly Features have played other Jezebel nights before being chosen as Features. However, from time-to-time we will choose a Feature based simply on the quality of their music and track record for past promotion, usually a top local act that has excelled and deserves greater recognition.
The Feature must be an unsigned act or signed to an independent label that does not have a distribution deal with the majors.
