Jezebel Music is an innovative music and event promotion company capturing the imagination of the New York independent music scene, with a focus on Williamsburg. We currently produce 12 events a month throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.
Our events include the Monthly Feature Show, a monthly BANDS showcase, the monthly Consignment indie rock party, the weekly Resonance songwriter showcase, and a weekly open mic called Songfair, as well as the Annual Williamsburg Live Songwriter Competition, currently in its fifth year of production.

We find and promote top independent musicians to give them the larger audience that they deserve. We find bands and singer-songwriters through our research, word of mouth, and submissions. We promote through our shows, street promotion, and of course our website. Basically, we act as a free promotion service for music that we believe in.
Innovative music with a focus on the art of song, from punk to folk. We are not guided by any single genre or musical style. At this point, a quick listen to past Jezebel Music Monthly Features will show some of the variety that you can expect from us. You'll hear, pop, folk, rock, punk, and experimental, but underneath each style you'll also hear the kind of quality and individuality that draws our ears in.

Dan graduated from New York University with a BA in Psychology. He worked directly with the upper management of a psychoanalytic training institute, establishing operational organization by creating and maintaining records, and aiding in the coordination and management of workshops and conferences. He now puts these organizational and administrative skills to managing Jezebel Music's operations, researching and approaching sponsors, and facilitating business development in cooperation with the company's president. He also writes for the Jezeblog and hosts events from time to time. And last but not least, Dan is a lifelong musician, songwriter and performer, and consummate music enthusiast. Erin Smith, Open Mic Host.
Erin Smith graduated college once, writes about music and strange events (like dog parades and lobster festivals), sings with a variety of wayward gypsy troubadours and has had a life-long, torrential relationship with dairy. Sometimes she writes for Jezebel Music, sometimes she DJs for Consignment and now, every Monday night, she is the host of the Songfair Open Stage. She encourages the use of sequins and bells in all performances..
Mike Meyer, Art
& Design.
Representing the west side, Mike is a designer residing in Portland,
Oregon, a place he has called home since birth. Mike is currently
working towards a B.F.A in digital arts and art at the University

talent, but also allows him use his creativity to express his love
for discovering new musical talent.
